There was a lot of competition, but Gwyneth Paltrow stole the show as she arrived for the star-studded CFDA Fashion Awards last night.

Somalian supermodel and CFDA winner Iman, in a strapless fishtail Giambattista Valli gown, with her husband, rocker David Bowie.

The actress was dressed in a sleek fitted glimmering black Michael Kors gown, which clung to her toned figure.

With her hair pulled back in a tight ponytail, her asymmetrical dress flattered her statuesque shape.

The golden popcorn bucket doesn’t hold the same clout as most other statuettes in Tinseltown, but the stars still flock to the MTV Movie Awards—perhaps because they love to cut loose on the red carpet. Expect to see lots of leg from the crowd.

Actor Alan Cumming hosted amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS 2010 benefit gala at the Hotel du Cap in Antibes, France. Actresses, movie moguls, philanthropists, fashion designers, and supermodels dressed up for a great cause—with Carine Roitfeld, Tom Ford, Georgina Chapman, Constance Jablonksi, Peter Dundas, Karl Lagerfeld, Naomi Campbell, and Dree Hemingway (above in Valentino Haute Couture) representing the best dressed fashion contingent.

The year’s auction raised 7.5 million euros in three hours. Karl Lagerfeld, in white jeans, noted it was a better-dressed crowd than what he’s seen at the Oscars.  Click here to Read Complete Post »

Natasha Poly was the the first girl to step off the classic Riva carrying barefoot models to the start of the Chanel resort show in Saint-Tropez. Karl Lagerfeld’s 1970s-on-the-Riviera collection of chiffon kaftans, gingham blouses, metallic shorts, tweed jackets, and lace swimwear was location-appropriate and ultimately very wearable, as illustrated by the range of models cast for the event.
